Chapter 6: From International to Citywide!

Transitioning from international meetings to large citywide conventions was a turning point in my career. I learned how to scale events for thousands, negotiate multiple hotel contracts (during the Covid-19 pandemic…remember those days?) , study intricate floorplans, map out a convention center of meeting space and exhibits, coordinate seamlessly with a network of third-party vendors and train hundreds of volunteers. This experience shaped me into a versatile meeting professional, equally comfortable managing association, corporate, non-profit, international and citywide programs. It provided a proven track record to assure my clients when they work with me, they’re partnering with someone who can deliver excellence at any scale.
